HELPFUL HINTS

As you plan your wedding, you will have advice and good wishes thrown at you from all angles. Families and friends can provide an invaluable input at this time, but remember, this is ultimately YOUR big day. It's easy to be sidetracked trying to please everyone, so don't jump into agreeing to things you haven't thought through. Take time to think, consult your co-ordinator if in doubt, and then make up your mind.

Before leaving home, please make yourself a checklist to ensure everything runs smoothly prior to your departure. With the excitement of a holiday and the anticipation of a wedding, it is easy to forget minor things which turn out to be very important items, like passports, flight tickets, insurance, money, wedding documents, driving licenses if required, and of course money and bank cards. (Check your cards do not expire during your holiday). Get yourself to that airport, check in, and start enjoying yourself. This is where your holiday starts!

You have arrived in Cyprus for the most important day of your life. There are a few things that you should bear in mind. The sun is stronger than you would normally experience at home so make sure you have plenty of high factor sun lotions. If you intend to wear a strapless gown for your wedding, please remember that 'Strap Marks' don't take long to arrive but are difficult to get rid of, so take care when sunbathing. If you have any elderly guests or children in your party, please make sure that they take care in the sun.

The bars here will serve drinks larger than at home so be careful and don't end up feeling seedy or hungover on either your special day, or when sunbathing.

In Cyprus, we drive on the left, same as in the UK and the road signs are all written in both Greek and English. But as always, take care on the roads.
